Podcasting History with Dr. Elizabeth Garner Masarik

A free Organization of American Historians (OAH) professional development webinar.

On November 21, at 3:30pm ET, join host Ellen Wu, Indiana University, as she talks with the historians from “Dig: A History Podcast,” Averill Earls, Sarah Handley-Cousins, Marissa C. Rhodes, and Elizabeth Garner Masarik, about using podcasts to engage with public audiences.

During this hour-long conversation, panelists will address questions such as “Why is it important for trained historians and traditionally labeled ‘academics’ to engage in public facing history?” and “How can historians take complicated and nuanced histories and make them digestible for a general audience?”

Historians at all stages of their careers and across the field will find this conversation of use as they strive to make their work readily accessible to a general audience.

This webinar is free but registration is required.
