Internship Opportunity—Dig: A History Podcast

The producers of Dig: A History Podcast seek an intern for the spring 2022 semester. The intern would primarily be responsible for developing and expanding the educational resources component of the podcast website. This entails creating activities and lesson plans that complement existing podcast episodes and will require familiarity with using primary sources. The intern may also be asked to help with other operating tasks such as transcription, proofreading, and link checking. An interest in digital public history and teaching are a must, but familiarity with digital tools and platforms aren’t necessary—we will train you on any tools you will need to use. Interns are expected to devote roughly 8 hours per week on projects that are assigned by the internship supervisor.

To apply, please email Dr. Elizabeth Garner Masarik and with a cv and brief letter explaining your interest in the position. Please also indicate your area of historical interest and describe any experience with digital humanities, public history, and/or teaching.
